The Manager of Business Development and Marketing organizes, manages and is responsible for all aspects of business development and marketing communications; including development, implementation, monitoring, updating and ongoing analyzation of the organizations strategic business development and marketing plan. In partnership with the CEO, the manager is responsible for growth of the hospital’s admissions, clinical program and service line development, business planning, physician relations, community relations, communications, post-acute strategy and development and senior outreach. Responsible for creating and/or implementing tracking mechanisms to track increases in volume, growth, and revenue by program, service line and/or physician. Responsible for media relations, website and social media strategy.
Responsible for service line and program development, organization, monitoring, and tracking. Grass roots marketing and promotion of service lines and programs – alignment and collaboration with physicians and appropriate leaders/decision makers, field marketing to generate awareness and increase volumes.
Responsible for all aspects of marketing, communications, community relations and media relations. Serve as media spokesperson and works proactively with the media.
Partners with others on physician recruitment, onboarding and physician marketing to drive more business to the hospital.
Develops plans to promote service lines and programs through sponsored events
Evaluate operational issues and determine business development needs, both internally and externally
Gather, analyze and evaluate market research, competitors, and current industry trends and utilize that data along with other intelligence to develop and implement strategic marketing plans to support volume growth, improve the patient experience, and increase top of mind awareness of the hospital.
Provide strategic business insight and council to all departments within the organization to increase communication and collaboration within the hospital
Identify, build and nurture strong, lasting relationships with new and existing partners as well as work closely with strategic partners to identify joint business opportunities to increase patient volumes and drive revenue growth
Maintains working knowledge of competition within the market to better identify targeted business development and marketing programs and initiatives
Expresses a servant-minded approach to relationships – both internally and externally
Develops and implements strategic plans around specific programs and service lines as designated by corporate leadership and aligned with Prime’s mission, and values and goals.
Ensure seamless transition of new service lines into the organization including marketing needs assessment, service line analysis and community integration. Coordinate with departments impacting service lines to ensure a quality, coordinated and collaborative approach to patient care
Acts as an internal consultant with executive leadership to develop business plans, strategic direction and development and analysis of new opportunities to drive growth.
